Dodging missiles

So, I noticed that people who are playing without pro-flight are able to dodge swarm missiles by spinning around and, seemingly randomly, pushing their sticks up/down left/right. So, how do you get the same effect if you're playing pro-flight? I don't mean get the same fast spin or instant 180 degree turn-around, but the same effect as dodging some swarm missiles.

It seems a tad unfair that someone who can fly (me) can lock on 5-6 swarms and some weenie that can't fly just has to randomly hit the right stick and he lives, while I get tagged with 5-6 swarm missiles and if I have no chaff, I'm dead...EVERY time. So, there HAS to be some way for pro-flight pilots to dodge missiles, I hope.

I think I lucked out and powerslid a homing missile off my backside....ONCE.
