Got Your Back Tournament

Hi all.

The Got-YOUR-BACK Tournament is an 8 clan CTF (non GB)tournament that will last approximately 5 weeks for the Champion.

There will be 2 Brackets (Fire and Water)of 4 teams each.

In the first round, each team will play the other 3 teams in their bracket. The match will consist of 3 maps and the winner is the team that wins the best 2 out of 3. A win (for the full match) is 3 points. A tie is 1 point and a loss is 0 points. The top 2 teams after the first 3 matches will move on and the bottom 2 teams will be eliminated. The maps for the first round are Installation, Skirmish, and Standoff.

In the second round, the top team from one bracket will face the second team from the other bracket. The winners will move on to the championship. The maps for the second round are Installation, Valley Battle,and Fortress.

In the championship round, the maps will include Installation and each team will choose one map. If both sides agree,for this round only, booster maps may be used. If both sides are not in agreement, non-booster maps will be the standard.

Further Details:
1. All matches will be CTF.
2. All matches will be non-booster pack except upon agreement in the championship round.
3. The flag max will be set to 7 for each game.
4. The flag return time will be 45 seconds for each game.
5. All games must be ranked.
6. All games must be minimum 8 on 8. If both clan leaders agree matches may be 10 on 10.*
7. There are no substitutions of members once a match starts. If a member must leave, you will be one man short. This has been amended to be once a "game" starts.
8. For each match, the same 8 members must play (all 3 games). For a different match (against a different clan), different members may be selected. Thi has been amended to allow unlimited substitutions between games as long as the participants are clan members.
9. Participants must have been members of the clan at the start of the tournament. Clans may not give temporary tags to players just so that they can play in the tournament for them. If it is determined that this has been done, your clan will be disqualified and everyone will be made aware.
10. If a clan cancels after agreeing upon a time and the other clan shows up, it is a forfeit and the other clan is awarded the win while the cancelling clan is assigned a loss.
11. The clan leaders will have one week to play each other. Scores should be reported by Tuesdays 8pm EST (5pm PST).
12. Brackets were determined by selecting teams names out of a hat and order of selection influenced order of play.
13. These games are not official Gamebattles games. If 2 teams schedualed to play each other decide they would like to modify that at take the necessary oversight, they are free to allow it to qualify.

15. A coin flip when leaders are setting match time will determine who chooses Eucadian or Chernovan. The clan will be either Eucadian or Chernovan for the entire match.

* Please note: #6 has been edited to allow for the possiblity of 10 on 10 if both clan leaders agree. If a clan shows up undermanned, after such an agreement, they must play undermanned.
